You get more responsiveness out of an SMF. Since there is no slack to take up like the DMF.

I'm not so sure that statement is true... Every street clutch has something that has to give, whether it's the dual mass flywheel or a sprung hub clutch disk... something has to give for smooth engagement on the street

There is no added responsiveness in my kit. Revs take just as long to rise and fall as they did before, and throttle response for rev matching feels exactly the same to me.
you're right about the sprung hub disk, yes - but there is definitely less slop there. i noticed the 'rubber band-ness' of my DMF, as well as the vibrations it exhibited. happy to be rid of those.
i wasn't referring to rev speed, i was meaning drivetrain response. maybe i'm just one sensitive dude! i also might be incurring more aggressive throttle behavior on my daily drives than you are in commuting...?

‘Twas a hot one yesterday and many marbles were being flung. Going to be even warmer today.
But my oh my if the VIR North Course isn’t tailor made for momentum cars. Last session I was the first car in the grid, and it took 3 laps before I had to give a point-by (to an M2), and had lapped the back of the group by lap 4. There’s just something supremely satisfying about dogging an F80 Competition with probably $20k in mods through every corner, and eventually getting that sweet sweet point-by in a car worth 90% less.
9.8mpg for the day.
