Bolster Fixed. Why did I wait so long??!??!

Finally ordered the correct alcantara and took my car to the upholstery shop (Jesus Upholstery Shop in Albany, CA in the East Bay).

In a few hours, Jesus cut out both worn/holy (pun intended) outboard driver's side bolsters and sewed the new alcantara back in.

I haven't cleaned the rest of the seat/interior yet so the photo isn't how it'll look by the end of the day tomorrow, but the bolsters look perfect. If you've been living with that nasty hole in your driver's seat bolster, it can be fixed beautifully.

Did he do it with the seat in the car? The material itself is expensive, but I understand that the bulk of the cost is in labor with removing the seat/cover.

I had mine done. Used a rear seat bolster I purchased from a member here. I saved @$25 by removing the seat from the car.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Holy crap, I live down the street from there. How much did it end up costing you? I ended up buying rear driver bolster fabric from Dane and getting Alex's Upholstery in Walnut Creek to get it done. It ended up $245 for the installation + $75 for the used fabric.
