Son, I texted you about that 45 minutes ago.

Is this what our relationship has come to?

Strangers on the internet exchanging lewd photographs?

    Wait what forum is this?

It seemed like a good excuse to steer the conversation back on topic, lewd photographs or not.

Thanks for this! My lube job made the chirping significantly worse.

I'm going to chalk it up to practice for the changeover and order the motor for $80.

Another learning opportunity in the books...

Do the wiper arms need to come off? I stopped them in the extended position when I lubed the blower and the linkage was pretty well out of the way.

I do need to reset their positioning anyway. They're a little low so the end of the passenger blade clips the hood. Another good thing about a southern car -- the arms won't be rusted to the spindles!

Got in some garage time this weekend and swapped out the chirping blower motor. It really wasn't bad at all. Not sure what people do differently that gives them so much trouble.

The part that I ordered ended up not being a Behr. It doesn't seem to be balanced very well and you can see the blades oscillating while it's spinning. There is even some vibration in the car when it is on full blast. I'll have to drive it for a bit to see if it's an issue or if the old blower did that and I never noticed.

EDIT FOR ANYONE THAT COMES ACROSS THIS LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT BLOWER: DON'T BUY THIS ONE. It wasn't balanced and squeaked and vibrated and was really just a piece of shit. I cleaned the dust off the the old blower and really got down into the bearings (not the motor windings!) with some dry lube and let it sit for a few days before reinstalling it. It's been quiet so far, but I haven't tested it in the cold.

Oh and I added a mustache and monocle to the garage caticorn. He seemed like he needed it.
