  1. Valentine one hardware question

    (should be hardwire)

I've read up on hardwiring my valentine one, and every one of those postings/videos mentions a connection using a green wire out of three in one connector. For my 2005 ZHP sedan, the connector with three wires has a clear wire, one black wire, and a yellow and red wire. Anyone else have this configuration, and which one should I use?

I don't remember which one is switched, but you can find out pretty quickly by sticking the bare wire to the V1 into each pin and seeing which one turns it on.

If you have a multi-meter, you would be able to know which one is the Constant Hot wire. To my understanding and what I remember, Brown is the Ground. I will go check tomorrow on daylight if nobody has reposnded yet by then....

  4. Yeah, I loaned out my multimeter. I can probably jerryrig something to try the three wires. No Brown wires - you attach the ground to a screw that's grounded ot the body.

Check for another harness that is tucked above the map lights, there should be a HomeLink connector with a green/white wire that is switched 12V.

That's the only three wire connector in there. The other two connectors only have one wire. In the daylight that yellow wire seems more brown.

  7. OK, I'm dim. The cabling for the sunroof motor had the extra cable with the switched power. It was really bundled tightly to that cabling, and just seemed like it was part of the cabling for the sunroof motor. I didn't feel the extra connector until I really dug my fingers up in there. The right wire is a green wire with the blue stripe, as described in other videos.

    I'm all set, now.
