I am slightly perturbed that BMW didn't put the correct instrument cluster in this ZHP.

It bugs me as well, but I have the records to show it. I assume that they offered to order the correct ZHP panel and wait the weeks with the car inactive or replace it quickly and the owner agreed it was fine.

Not sure I understand. It has the silver trim around the gauges right? That's a ZHP instrument panel.

All 330's had the silver rings, ZHP or not.

It's a ZHP that had a dealer replaced non ZHP instrument panel when the ZHP instrument panel failed. It's definitely not a Canadian car. It was sold/leased at BMW Houston and that's where the service was done during the initial lease period. I can post the VIN if that will help.

That's honest, OP. I personally wouldn't make a big deal out of it. Seems like a nice car even with white gauge needles

I appreciate the sentiment, but this fact almost stopped me from buying the car. So I understand the apprehension.
