Well, crap.
Edit: I wonder if we can deliver/promise payment for X number of gaskets the supplier (whoever it was) might be convinced to do another run of them. Just a thought.

What's the shelf life of Viton when it is not installed and still in its bag? If it's a long time I'd go in on a group buy of some sort.

Viton is stable, probably at least 5 years.
I'll email Andy and inquire about minimum order quantity for a one-off run. I'm in for three or four, and I'd pay $25ea, instead of $20 they were selling them for. Stay tuned...

Emailed them and offered to buy 50 Viton gaskets, figuring we could probably scrounge up that many among us.
They said they were buying several hundred at a time and they were selling well, and my offer to buy 50 wouldn't change the mfgrs mind.
They're trying to find another manufacturer and will keep me updated.
