    Got it, thanks for checking. And I would temper the assumption you can get 50 people for the OFHG, I think likely closer to 20-30.

    Should have mentioned, I also have an X5 with the M54, and the guys at XOutpost (X5 board) are interested as well.

    Is there a valve cover gasket made with the same material floating around somewhere?

    Reviving an older thread ... I noticed that I have some oil on the engine that looks like it is coming from the OFHG. I'm going to go with the Viton gasket option, so I don't have to do this again. For those that have done this, did you also replace bolts, sealing rings, temp sensors, etc. or just the gasket?

    Just the gasket the two times I've done it. No issues with either car.

    Ditto. Use a box with 6 holes to hold the bolts in the right orderosition.
