    a statistic i remember from living in VT:

    # of overcast days per year:
    - seattle, WA: 153
    - stowe, VT: 152


    it's not that bad.

    I'm considering PacNW someday, but so long as I have huskies I have zero interest in a rainy climate. They take about 18 hours to dry if they get wet

    It's really not bad. Portland has about 50% more sunny days than days with rain/precipitation, more so in Seattle. You get used to it. Unfortunately, too many newcomers are getting used to it.

    I see so many out of state license plates, I practically have this conversation every few days:

    There are so many huskies here, their owners get by somehow. It rarely just pours rain, it's usually just drizzle for an hour or two.

    good news today!

    Teacher Lady's 325iT passed it's emissions test! woohoo!

    other good news... i replaced front brakes on a friends' 2012 ford focus last night, and today replaced spark plugs in a 2009 subaru impreza for Teacher Lady #2 (she teaches at the same school as OG Teacher Lady). this poor lady is in the middle of a divorce right now... her impreza was running on 3 cylinders, practically... i should post a pic of the plug from cyl#4. yikes.

    gotta take care of these peeps.
