Central console leather arm rest replacement

Ok this has been a while but my leather arm rest that covers the center console and flips up is worn, and the bad leather is taking a toll on my arm/elbow, making it uncomfy. I had the same issue with my 328i, and heard that is is REALLY difficult to replace, like you have to remove a seat or something?? Or is that not true for the 2003 sedan?

If I can do it I will, just need part number and how to... if its really that hard and time consuming, I will leave it to a pro, just LMK how much I SHOULD be paying so I dont get ripped off.

    Thanks!

No seat removal is necessary. Get an alcantara wrapped cover from Cobywheel.com

I've never done it, but it should be relatively easy to do yourself. You can either get the existing leather reupholstered, covered by something like Coby Wheel, or just find a used one in a part out car somewhere.

It's pretty straightforward. Instructions are on the Coby site.
