So just to share what I ended up doing and the end result.
I was going away on vacation to the beach which meant all windows must go down so we can enjoy the salt air. So I didn't know what to do so figured hey I'll just get something cheap and if it lasts the whole week I'm on vacation great. Then I will figure out what to do as a final solution.
So of all places I went on fleabay and found a regulator with a motor for like $26.00 shipped. It had good reviews from other BMW owners who took a chance so I figured what the heck. Free shipping and 3 days later its at my doorstep. I open the box and inspect it and to my surprise it seems to be of pretty darn good quality. I rip apart my door pull out the broken piece of crap and pop in the new one.
Again i expect it to barely work or sound like it's going to break but it sounds and moves damn good. The motor is strong, the regulator slides pretty good (needed a little extra lube) and so far it seems it may last the week. Seal up the door and a few days later go on vacation.
Long story short, it has been aboot a month now and i use it every day several times a day, and it works just as good as the OEM ones. Best $26.00 fleabay score for an "important" part yet. I don't know how long it will last, but hey we shall see and i will report back.

I just put one of the "improved" Uro ones in the passenger's rear of the xi sedan. Cleaned & lubed all the rubber bits. It's working & car is being sold, so all is good!
