    My first two bucket day

So I've been reading and learning about the real way to wash a car. I decided to practice on the DD e90 before hitting the ZHP. Two bucket wash using a complete Adam's suite: car soap, foam blaster hose attachment, merino wool mitt up top and a foam mitt for the lower areas, clay with detail spray lubricant and finally Jescar/Menzerna Power Lock Paint sealant. All applied by hand... took about 2-3 hours for this newbie. The wheels were a PITA, but with some patience and the Adam's spinning brush thing/wheel cleaner spray with a cordless drill, things got pretty nice without removing the wheels from the vehicle.

She's now sitting in the sun for the Leatherique stuff to soak into the seats.

    How does she look?

Thanks. Up close she's mess from 10+ year of DD duty, kids leaning bikes against her in garage, my daughter clipping the snow blower while pulling into the garage etc.... BUT, with some paint correction and patience she shines up pretty nicely for a DD.

That's pretty quick. It would easily take me double that.

Upping my game with the same routine but now adding a final layer of Collinite 845 wax. The stuff goes on like spit when you warm it up to a runny consistency and a little goes a long way.... and yes I know my tow hook front plate is crooked.

To me, the metallic flakes in paint are a bit richer with the double-up. Let's see how weather resistant this wax on top of sealant job really is.

Now that my confidence has risen, Imola ZHP convertible is next!
