    Heart transplant successful!!

She is back from the dead! I am a few weeks late in posting this update, but the engine replacement was successful following a lead to a good ZHP mechanic right here in Manassas. Thanks to Sean (El Cid) for the lead! Reza at Arpa Auto Inc. drives a ZHP himself, and had a couple decent ZHP engines lying around in his shop. He did the swap in just over a week for what I considered a reasonable price, to include replacing all the gaskets and swapping over all the new components I had just installed just prior to my car's tragic mishap. This includes new TMS underdrive pulleys/belts, water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, and secondary air valve. He had to swap in a couple used cats as well as the SES light came on when the new engine started up.

All is humming along perfectly now. So much so that I can now hear that I need some new wheel bearings. Happy to be back to this point in bringing this 100k mile beauty back to its original performance (or better!).

Glad to see another ZHP back on the road! All the partout threads in the FS section are a bummer.

Awesome Rob. Glad it worked out. Let's go drive!

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - anonymous E46 fanatic
