I did plasti dip on my ZHP. It didn’t hold up to the heat of Alabama summers and bubbles up. The best way is to use lacquer thinner (wipe liberally and leave “wet” for a few seconds) which will bubble the oem clear coat and then sand with 220 grit sand paper and then 400. Rustoleum flat black or even duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye is a pretty good topcoat. Just remember that most paints take 7 days to reach full “cure” so be gentle until that time has passed. I just did my grey interior in black and grey two tone. The dash and carpets are OEM Black, but the console area lower door handles and door sills are rustoleum flat black. Holds up quite well after curing. Prep is key!
