    BMW Service Bulletin 12 17 05

Who has had his performed to fixed the 4K rpm power dip and will dealers still honor it?

I'm sure some will say it's out of warranty, but I perceive this as a defect that should be addressed as a recall.

It will probably cost you at least $200 to get the DME updated. I paid something similar back in 2010.

    Here is the SIB information:

I swear I don't have the dip... Dinan tune from previous owner fixed it maybe?

    Honestly,

I can't feel it cause the ZHP doesn't have that much power. It just feels like I have no power on the track compared to all these M3s, etc.

Mine is heavily pronounced from 4-5k RPM's, so much so that I have been driving under 3500 RPM's. I called the dealer and they are complete morons who had no idea what I was talking about and simply said if there's not a recall associated with the VIN# in the system, we can't look it up.

I am thinking about giving BMW NA a call for giggles as I still think this is a problem that I shouldn't have to pay for.

Worst case, an indy shop can do it.

I noticed the 3750rpm dip when we first got our 2005 Vert, but it doesn't seem as noticeable now. Is this possible or have I just gotten used to it?

Need to Shark tune the car and see if anything feels different, besides the improved throttle responsiveness that most see with this tune.
