[NC] Help Stu Do Control Arms

My front control arm bushings are definitely at the end of their life. Noticeable clunk, alignment won't hold, all that good stuff. I'd love to have a nice front suspension refresh before the ZHP meet, and it would be very helpful to have someone work on the other side with me to get the job done faster. If anyone is in the area and would like to help, I'd really appreciate it!

    Perks include:
Beer, food, and I'll always be willing to throw some bucks your way if you'd like

This job will involve replacing the following on an E92:
    1. Upper control arm
    2. Lower control arm
    3. Tie rods
    4. Sway bar end links
    5. Rear alignment bolts (they're rusty and one broke during my last alignment)

    DIY here
Other DIY here (they drop the steering rack, you definitely do not need to drop the steering rack)

    Possible risks
    - Rusted bolts
    - Stuck through-bolts
    - Rusted nuts

I do have two electric impact wrenches: A Chicago impact, and a Milwaulkee impact.

The good news: No pullers or presses are required. It all generally comes out very easily.

Would anyone be willing to help? I live in Cary.

I'll be up in Cary 2 of the next 3 weekends to help my parents clean out my grandparents' house. I think I saw in another post you're in the Triangle?

Perfect timing and location. I also live in Cary. If you could help one of these weekends, that would be ultra appreciated. October 7th is looking to be a good weekend for me so far.

That's actually the one weekend I won't be there. How about the weekend of 9/30-10/1? I'll PM you my phone number, feel free to text me.

Actually, I have great news! Unfortunately it means this project needs to be put on hold for a bit, but it does mean that I get to move into a bigger home! We just got approved on an application for a 2 garage, 3br home, and our move in date is this October. I'll probably be moving some things over the next few weekends.

Thanks dude. It's a step up from apartment life! I'm still renting, but ownership of some place will occur hopefully within the next 3-5 years.

I ended up going ahead and doing my control arms two weeks ago. I got a heck of a lot done, and finally picked up a Dremel. Those things are the best; how have I survived without it?

    Got:
    - M3 thrust arms
    - M3 lower control arms
    - Tie rods
    - Sway bar end links

It's completely transformed the steering feel of the car. I love it. The drive to the alignment shop was awful though. When they asked which direction my car is pulling, all I told them was "I just replaced all of the steering components on the front, so for the love of God do not even attempt to test drive this car." It's amazing how much alignment affects how your car drives. Pre-alignment, any time I turned my steering wheel, the wheel would throw itself into that direction.
