Thread: LSD question

    LSD question

Thinking about the Mfactory option... Looks like it's ~$1k, but that looks to only be a component of the diff...not a full plug and play solution. So about how many hours should a shop charge to drop my diff, install the Mfactory component inside it, and then reinstall it in my car?

Also, any ebay value to the part that would be left over after this?

you can buy plug-n-play units from MFactory also - personally, i would (and did) go this route.

as for the ebay question... likely not.

Piecing together info from different threads...MFactory can ship a full diff which could be installed by a shop in a few hours for ~$1.5k....then the price nets out to ~$1k after I ship back the core from my car?

Does the $1.5k include changes to my final drive ratio if I want to shorten it up?

If it's a common ratio, we can try to source it beforehand

I would, and did, go with DiffsOnline, and wouldn't go to anyone else. This is nothing against MFactory, I just prefer calling Dan at DiffsOnline and speaking to him immediately, and him really understanding what I want out of the diff, and spec'ing the unit for me.

I have M/F diff and am very satisfied. Why pay a shop when you can knock it out in a few hours?
