What’s the difference in purchase price between an E90 M3 and an M2? ~$20k? It takes a lot of tanks to get to that, assuming that’s “the only problem” you have.

Agreed on the post-E46 lineup. The only other BMW-challenger for me would be the 1M if just for its ugly hodgepodge nature. Otherwise the E90 M3 is my favorite of that generation, and the M2 is the only current offering from BMW that appeals to me.I guess that’s what makes me a stick in the mud, who is reluctant to change. Mine would be E46 (possibly E9x)/E39. But I’ll be damned if this isn’t the perfect M garage for the models newer than the ones I’ve been in love with since my formative years.
