For those who use Napa Blue Fuel car jump starter 85-924 or similar devices

My car battery died today so I had to get my local AAA to restart my engine for me. I wanted to confirm with you here who owns an E46, that

    1) Is our car negative-grounded vehicles? (I believe so)
    2) the jump starter's manual says to connect its Positive (+, red color) clamp to the Positive terminal on the battery, and to connect the Negative(-, black color) clamp to the vehicle's chassis or engine block (i.e. do not connect to the carburetor, fuel lines , or sheet-metal body parts). On the Negative clamp, can I connect that to the Negative terminal of the battery or do you guys recommend somewhere else since we are talking about the trunk area of the E46? I did not pay close attention to the AAA fellow when he connected this this Negative clamp.

    Thanks.

The manual for the car has a jump procedure in it. Use the terminals in the engine bay.

Thanks. I found the Positive and Negative terminals on page 147 in the engine bay. I'll use that instead.
