  1. #91

Shifter rebuild, short shifter install, CDV delete, stainless steel clutch line, new trans mounts, and trans fluid change done.

Power steering hoses replaced a few days ago.

All thatís left is to install rear shocks, springs, and lower control arms.

Good progress here. Shifter rebuild is on my wish list for next year.

I had the Turner Motorsports shifter carrier bushing and ended up removing it. It made noise and was annoying. Went back to the rubber oe bushing.

How did you like the before/after of the shifter? At least for me it was a night and day difference. Prior to the rebuild my shifter had about an inch free play in gear, and required no effort to move it side to side

I liked the improvement it made but since it's poly it does require maintenance with grease. But it's not an easy part to get to.

I removed it and rebuilt the shifter with all brand new parts and that removed all the slop that came with age.

Just sitting in the car and pretending to drive it feels completely different. Almost no play at all. I have a ways to go before I drive it, though. Iím probably going to skip doing all the rear suspension bushings and stuff. Iíll save that until I do the RACP reinforcement.... eventually. Just the rear half of the koni stuff and lower control arms for now. Hopefully all that will be done tomorrow.
