    Thanks, Will!

    Just got an E46!

I've been sporadically looking for one, wanted 325i or 330i touring with a manual. This one popped up yesterday. 2002, Turquoise gray (didn't even know that color existed) on gray leather, 325i 5-speed, pretty standard equipment and supposedly without rust. 124k miles but service book is fake so I'm not sure if those are original.

I didn't see it yet, a friend of mine bought it for me in Cologne as I didn't have time to go myself. Paid $1.200, should make for a great winter beater as I planning to put the M5 in hibernation during wintertime. I just can't expose it to salt anymore.

I like e46 tourings. But never owned one. What do you mean the service book is fake … maybe it's for another car ?

That's a good logo BTW. For your youtube channel, I assume ?

Edit: it took me a couple of min, but I found the meaning for "M539".

I spent a tremendous amount of time on this one and decided on a certain format for which I'm very keen to hear the feedback. It is a long video, but I thought showing complete repairs with details while listening to ratchets, spanners, torque wrench clicking away and my heavy breathing would make for a more watchable video than to talk senselessly, time-lapse it and play some stupid music. Overall, I'm happy how it turned but there's always room for improvement.

I wedged complete suspension overhaul and sorting out oil leaks into this part.

Hey bud I am drinking bourbon and decided it was a good time to get caught up on your shit but knew I was way too far behind to actually get through it all so I started here and I just gotta say:

    1. Your editing has created a video that is genuinely captivating. I saw a 30min runtime and was like lol good luck bitch but I found that I couldn't skip through it. I watched the entire thing and loved every grunt.

    2. I'm 5 months behind so I hope you've gotten a decent spring compressor by now. The ones you used in this video will find a way to kill you.

    3. I'm so glad you got a new bolt to match the rest on the oil pan. I mean it was stupid, but I appreciate it.

    3. Let me know if there's a good place in your recent work to skip ahead to so I can actually get caught up with this thread and get back to contributing snarky remarks that make references to current pop culture. aNyBoDy eLsE iN qUaRaNtInE??

In Europe this is a bit different, every car from new has a service book and when you take it in for service, they note the kilometers, what's been done and stamp it. And this stays with the car so you know how it was serviced and to verify the kilometers are original. First few stamps are always from BMW dealer while the car has warranty and after independent shops continue to stamp it.

This also means it's very easy to make a fake one like with this car. Stamps are missing, someone just took few different pens and filled it out. First few stamps should've been from BMW but they are supposedly some independent shop which doesn't make sense.

Yeah, the codename in German registration system for E39 M5 is M539, even says so in registration papers.

    Dude! Dankeschön!

You still have a lot of catching up to do but start with part 2 of project Malaga, butttt it's 45 min long though I've been told it's pretty good, it has nearly 700k views.

That's my favorite video that I made so far.

If you missed it, I also bought an E60 M5 6-speed in you neck of the woods.

I’ve always liked Turquoise Grey, and the deleted roof rails are a really good look.

I'm jealous y'all had the 330i Tourings available to you.
That color is grey-green metallic (graugruen), just like the rust bucket that I mistakenly purchased last year
Stunning color, got lots of compliments on it.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

You've actually heard of this color? Didn't even know Turquoise was a color on itself, I'm that oblivious, lol.

330i touring would be ideal but I couldn't find a cheap one for the life of me.

I'm happy about the color, definitely not something you see often.

I absolutely hate rust so buying this without seeing it underneath is a gamble, so far I know that it has a bit of bubbling on the rear right wheel arch. If it turns out to be a rust bucket, I'm dumping it immediately.

    More pics.

I hate these seats though. I had them in one E46 before and I find them uncomfortable. Like sitting on a wooden bench. And the rims are stupid.

Thank you, I knew Turquoise Grey didn’t sound right but I was blanking on the real color name. It really is quite pretty.

Yep, I used to have a neighbor with a 5MT facelift 325i sedan, Graugruen over beige. It looked really sharp.

Funny, I’ve always called non-sport seats “church pews.”
