    Plastic door molding

The plastic strip that runs the length (curvature) of the car over both front and rear windows is coming loose. This part started to come loose at the back and I can pry it back a little as the 2 rear-most mounts/clamps have broken. The trim itself is fine, it's just the plastic mounts on the back-side that are broken.

I'm not spending $1k for new door trim...what other methods have people used to secure trim that's coming loose?

You can try to reattach the clips to the trim with an epoxy. Results vary.

Some people have had luck with using double-sided tape.

I think attempting to realign the clips would be very hard if you took off the old and replaced with new ones.

I was thinking more just getting rid of the broken clips and stacking enough double-sided tape (or some sort of semi-flexible epoxy) in their place to hold the trim.

This is what I did. It's still holding fine years later.
    I used the 3M double-sided tape.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Unfortunately mine broke off so I am forced to buy a complete new trim.

Hofmeister kink you have failed me.

Maybe some butyl caulk strips would hold the trim to the car.

Both of mine came off. It’s a design flaw; they fit too tightly and the door weatherstripping pulls at them every time you open the door.

I managed to superglue the passenger side with the stock clips, but I’m missing three of the clips for the driver’s side. I may explore the double-sided tape method suggested above...
