    My New Ride

    Hi All,
    I just acquired a 2005 ZHP with 65,000 mi.
    2 Owners, MT, Black/black. I have had 2 330Ci's
and this is the ultimate car. Love it.
I have 2 questions about it:
    1. There is an Ipod connection in the glove box that connects to the
    radio. How does that work?
    2. Can I connect my phone to it?

Welcome, sir. Sounds like a good find. Pics at your earliest convenience, please.

I don’t have answers to your questions, my sedan doesn’t have that connection.

The factory iPod connection is very restricted. The only way to use it is if you use an old iPod with the 30-pin connector, and you have to put your music into playlists in a specific format. You can't browse by album or artists; you can only use the playlists.

Mine had it when I bought the car and I found it useless, so I ditched it.

Welcome. Is there an Aux jack in there or anywhere else? Pretty easy install if not.

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - anonymous E46 fanatic

    Welcome!

An '05 with only 65k miles? Nice find! How much did you pay for it? My '04 had nearly twice that mileage when I bought it in December of '16.

Mine has an aux jack in the glovebox, into which a 3.5mm or 1/8" (not sure which) audio cable plugs, then into the headphone jack in my iPhone.

Good luck with the car. You'll love it.
