Agree, they look normal in real life.
I basicaly had 3 reasons for downgrading wheels:
Roads are crap in Boston area and I wanted to have a bit more sidewall
I wanted to run square set up so tires can be rotated and car will be more neutral
    Look if the car

They are actualy much easier to clean than stock 135.

Did a light maintenance and a lot of detailing, which was planned long time ago.
    Following items were replaced:
    1. Engine air filter.
    2. Cabin air filter.
    3. Windshield cowl. Mine was very old and rubber sealing lip was falling apart. I was surprised how easy it was to replaced.
All parts were purchased at FCP.

In addition, I finally started my Leatherique seats restoration. Today, I just did a first step and applied rejuvenating oil and let it work for ~24 hours. Car was parked under the sun with closed windows for better effect of the oil. That is what recommended by manufacturer.
For the application I used a soft brush and microfiber towel for all seams and crevices.
Tomorrow I will continue with stage #2 and application of Prestine Clean. I am planning to apply die on front seats as they have some wear and cracks. I am very excited to see the results.
Also, I spent some time and cleaned the trunk as it gets super dirty after all my camping trips. And lastly, engine bay was cleaned as well.

Last night I did a stage two and applied Prestine Clean.
Leather feel much much softer, especially on the back seat.
It was dark already and I had no chance to get good pictures.
Today I will be moving with die and hopefully my front seats will look much nicer.

would love to see hows yours turned out. i put it on the passenger and rear. Driver seat is just getting a new cover. i tried agitating it with a brush but it started to remove the dye a bit. Its definitely much cleaner and a bit softer but not as soft as i was hoping.

Mine is definetly softer and driver side is much cleaner. Back seat was pretty clean, so I didn't notice much difference. I keep forgetting to get pictures after the cleaning.

Well, not a good new regarding the die application. Die that bought was very light on color. It is not grey, it is more white.
So, now I want to go with the custom die color, so I can restore driver seat and arm rest.
I am waiting to hear back from Leatherique about lead time.

    7/12/18.
    Mileage - 145,362.
4 wheel alignment was made and AC recharge. Car was blowing warm air.
Looks like there is leak, but I have no idea how big it is. Will see how long that charge last.

Well, this project didn't get any updates for the last 3 months.
Actually, there was not much work done or needed for the car.
There was a small cosmetic update in the interior. Back in August I installed a new cup holders and BMW Performance shift knob. Cup holders were pretty bad. I changed the knob because original leather was pretty worn and I wanted to knob be more aligned with silver cube trim.
Then, there was just a typical maintenance, such that:
10/22/18 - oil and filter changed. Oil was send to Blackstone Lab for the analysis. Lab results were great. Mileage - 151,455

    11/17/18 - winter wheels installed.
