I drove the car last night running errands.
I can say that the M2 and the M2 competition are two completely different cars in every way. Even the rev matching is spot on in this car which was one of our biggest complaints in the M2.
The car is so smooth. It reminds me of the ZHP when it was new but with a lot more HP. They did a good job of taking the hit out of the turbos. I can’t really feel any turbo lag either but we’re still breaking it in. Can’t wait to open it up.
The breaks are massive. They take bit to get used to. I’ll have take some pics of them

The M2 is still great cat car but I don’t think it really lives up to true M status.
Kristen calls the M2 an M240i with a wide body which is pretty accurate in IMO

Glad you guys like it! One of the guys from Everyday Driver on Amazon Video is in the queue to order the “regular” M2. Both hosts complain about the rev matching...

Test drive the competition and see what you guys think... for my wife, it was a no brainer but she’s a hard core Motorhead, not everyone is like that.
The M2 is a damn nice car and I liked the blue much better than white. Everywhere we went, we’d get compliments on the blue car. That’s not going to happen with white.

I love the styling of the new body style M2/M3 cars. Maybe you can elaborate on this:

My Indy (bmw enthusiast through and through) stated that the new motors in these cars are starting to be known for grenading. Is this true?

I haven't heard that at all... My wife would know if that was the case since she works at the dealership and she knows the regional factory rep pretty well. it's the new X5s that are having all the major issues right now
