    APEX ARC-8 Fitment Thread

    Hello all!

APEX ARC-8 wheels have become very popular around here, with many members of the Mafia family having taken the plunge. As a result, I think it might be useful to have a thread on different members' APEX ARC-8 fitments and their experience. I have created a spreadsheet below that I can edit (or if anyone knows how to embed a Google Spreadsheet, I'm all ears), and will link to each user's post as well. So here is what I propose each member with ARC-8s does in a post:

    1. Submit their info i.e. wheel size, tire size, camber, rolled fenders yes/no, rubbing yes/no, etc
    2. Submit a picture of the wheels on their car, if available.

Sound simple? Good. This way, other members who are considering getting a set of ARC-8s or changing to a different size can use this thread as a quick resource. Also, very much open to suggestions to make this whole thread more useful to other people.

    THE SPREADSHEET

Even though I have already submitted it to the spreadsheet, here are my ARC-8 info with pictures:

17x8.5" ET40 square wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact DW tires on all four corners. I have factory springs so the ride height is stock, although I do have Z4m front control arm bushings (FCABs) that increase castor a few degrees. AFAIK my alignment hasn't changed although that is 2ish years old, but the front camber (R/L) is -0.97/-0.92 degrees and rear camber (R/L) is -2.06/-2.07. I have not rolled the fenders and I do not have rubbing.

General impression/notes: I love this wheel set up. It improved the handling and grip an appreciable amount due to the reduced unsprung weight. The only things I don't like about it is the aesthetics; I wish they were larger diameter and had more concavity, but those downsides were outweighed by the current setup's performance, no need for rolling fenders, and money saved thanks to cheaper tire size.

Which H&R springs do you have? Also, what color wheels, Hyper Silver?

Sports (29484). The wheels are anthracite/gunmetal/whatever Apex calls them.

    Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s 225/40 F, 255/35 R

that's the setup i will likely move to - 9's in the rear. i bet you won't rub with those tires, wes - the PSS you ran before are a bit chubbier than the 500s.

    my setup:

    18x8.5 ET38 square, hyper silver
    3mm spacer in the rear
245/35/18 michelin PSS (tread width is 9.1" - these suckers are wide for a 245)
stock ride height - ZHP coupe springs, koni yellows up front, bilstein PSS9 dampers in the rear - both set fairly stiff
    camber: -1.0F, -1.6R
    no fender rolling
no rubbing without 3mm spacer in rear - slight rubbing in the rear under large compressions with passengers in the rear
