    Hello ZHP Fam,

Moving to Michigan for grad school forces me to sell my baby, Karl. It’s a Black Sapphire Sedan with Natural Brown interior, my favorite combination. It’s stock and has a light tint. I bought this car in February 2016 from a gentleman in Berkeley and it has been pure joy to own and drive. I'd take it with me but I don't want to see road salt destroy it and I already have an xi touring that will do just fine. Hopefully someone from this community can enjoy my ZHP. I’d like to get $7300 for it. Let’s get to it and start with the basics:

All of the maintenance has been done by yours truly with the exception of one service by German Auto Sport in Berkeley, with whom I have an excellent relationship. The previous owner also mentioned having it serviced at German Auto Sport and Chris Lingle (shop owner) confirmed this. Here’s what’s been done since February 2016, oil changes at 3500 intervals are not listed:

    02/11/16 - Fuel pump
02/18/16 - Aux fan, expansion tank, thermostat, upper radiator hose, air filter, control arm bushings, brake booster hose, brake fluid flush. (German Auto Sport)
    02/24/16 - Wheel alignment
12/18/16 - Full tune up including new coil packs
03/14/17 - Accessory belts and tensioners
    03/21/17 - Morimoto Mini Retrofit + Yellow Fog/High Beams
    08/16/17 - DSC unit replaced
09/15/17 - Steering wheel replaced with similar wheel finished in blue stitching
10/05/17 - Airbag recall (BMW of Concord)
    10/05/17 - Second key ordered
    07/12/18 - Hood shocks replaced
07/12/18 - Left fog light replaced
    07/12/18 - Cabin filter replaced
    07/13/18 - Car detailed
    08/01/18 - Passed smog inspection

Receipts and records from prior to this date will also be included.

Next on my list were tires but I will let the new owner buy those. One thing that I would also recommend doing is the steering coupling assembly, it seems to be causing a little bit of steering play. Read more here:

I should say that with new tires I would not hesitate to drive the car cross country! Pics:

The car is not perfect and does have blemishes here and there that I will point out during inspection. Some obvious ones are curbage on the wheels which I never got to fixing, that’s how I bought it. I think stock ZHP wheels are the best looking on these cars.

Included in the sale is an OE roof rack with wrench, new AL headlight lenses in boxes (I can install if you’d like), the original business cd unit (previous owner replaced with Alpine Bluetooth deck), original ZKW projectors, spare fog lights and bezels, the original alcantara wheel which was shot to begin with and was replaced, and other bits and ends I may find. Car has all four OE floor mats.

    EDIT 8/21

Car is now stored at my parent's place in Oakland, not Vallejo.

Was totally going to buy this car. Applied through PenFed and was approved, only to find out it was a secondary lender so they wouldn't finance older than 9 years. So bummed.

I financed my ZHP through PenFed last summer. No issues whatsoever.
