If you're using your phone data plan, then you can just set your phone to automatically go into hotspot mode when it connects to the headunit via Bluetooth.

I'd imagine most carriers are comparable in terms of cost for existing customers.

I dropped it into the sim reader and it fired right up. No issues.

I don’t have this HU, but am considering switching to t-mobile for a number of reasons. I need to get off my arse.

    Guys,

I finished editing and uploading my videos this weekend on the AVIN Avant 3 Install and review. I will post something more formal in the coming days, but a few of you seemed interested on this chain, so I figured I'd drop the links here first.

Here are the videos on my new Youtube channel, @///ZHPerformance

Basic UI Review of the AVIN
    https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=xFWViAMCsaw

    AVIN Install Part 1

    AVIN Install Part 2

    AVIN Install Part 3
    https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=YXwoK0znZa0

It's a lot of trial and error, but is mostly plug and play - just takes time. Feel free to ask questions on here or in the comments of the videos.

I'm glad you did it because I just haven't had the time.. bought this unit back in January IIRC and writing up a DIY and full review is STILL on my to-do list, with no ETA in sight.

    Thanks for putting that up.

No problem, my friend. I appreciate that. These videos took more time than the damn install

I was gonna do the video method but it was WAY too much work to do it to the level of perfection I require. That's also one reason the DIY never came to fruition... I'm way too anal about my documentation. I was getting tired in the middle of writing just one page... lol

It's certainly challenging. I tried to do that a bit in part 2 since my buddy and I were in the front seats and the camera angle wasnt ideal. When I put together my official post for the mafia, I'll try to get more detailed.
