    While I can't speak for the Pizzaman, I can say that if you use the dead pedal to support your body while on track to prevent gripping the steering wheel, it gets weak pretty quickly.

    Not really - it's there so you have something to rest your left foot on. It's a pretty standard thing on what I would imagine to be all cars...

    Update on this: mine was in fact misinstalled by the dude that sold me the car. Not bad, just missed the middle clip so it wasn't fitting flush.

    I confirmed that it was the right part for the coupe and got the fitment fixed, but it was still hella creaky so I busted out some UHMW tape and covered the edges that rub against the carpet when you press on the pedal. Now it's silent even when you stand on it.

    Still to test: stomping
