    Perhaps adding some dense foam (styrofoam?) behind the pedal portion, if there's room, can help avoid cracking.

    I've beat the dogshit out of my M3 dead pedal without a hint of cracking. And I mean I've stood/stomped on it. It's creaky af, but tough.

    Probably a good idea. It was installed by the dealer that I bought the car from since the original was cracked.
