Can you code out SAP and Secondary O2 and still pass emissions in GA?

Let me know if you decide to go with a different suspension setup and replace the FSD's. I'd happily put some in my wagon.

jst found out from the person i got the car from.

the car has koni FSD all around and they also purchased new BMW Sport springs for the rear only because the rear was dropping according to them. FSDs and rear springs have less than 20k miles on them he states.

question is what are BMW Sport springs? he said the wagon had the sport package which technically it does since it had sport seats... but i assume they are not ZHP springs.....

The car is a 2002 so I'm Georgia that means you can only have one monitor not ready to pass.

I only had sap coded out. That's one monitor that will be not ready.

My tip to you on your wiring issues, reuse the MS43 wiring. Have the DME coded to EU2 and you will have no issues with SAP and Cats.

The only changes you need are to the intake air temp sensor (Located in the Manifold) and an MS43 MAF. No need to get crazy with the wiring harness. Any tuner can use the base EU2 file and get a nice tune on there.

thanks man, i had already dropped the engine into the car with the MS45.1 wiring harness and DME.

i did some more research and found out my root wiring issue was WDS is wrong.

in WDS they have wiring diagrams and pinouts for MS42, 43 and 45. i made a spreadsheet that compared all of the DMEs so I could match the various DME plugs and see which PINS needed to be deleted/moved or left alone.

MS45 had quite a few changes in regards to SAP, DTML and EKP Fuel pump relay.

come to find out our cars are MS45.1 which are a hybrid of MS43 and MS45 and there is no documentation no MS45.1 in WDS. the closest comparable is the DME MS45 listed for the E83 X3 MS45 M54 cars..

once i got that diagram I saw that the fuel pump was pin 10 just like MS43 and 42 and did not use EKP like M56 SLUV cars.

i only needed to code out SAP since im not using it anyways and then wired in DTML by repinning one wire.

car starts fine now and sounds great with no CEL.

I read that, my brain processed it as “there was a wiring problem and I fixed it” haha
