NEW ZHP OWNER/LET THE PROJECTS BEGIN #1: ALCANTARA WHEEL

    Hi all,
Took possession earlier this week of an 05 ZHP BLACK/BEIGE VERT, 74K miles, 6MT.
Mechanically sound (what a wonderfully balanced machine-speed, driver experience, exhaust note, engine sound)....
Cosmetically in overall great shape but of course, can't wait to begin to start the project list to bring it back to its
former glory!....1st up, my alcantara wheel. Spoke w/ Cobywheel and am one step away from sending off
for a rewrap. Figured I would try the magic eraser routine this weekend with a defuzzer before shelling out for the rewrap
even though seems well worth it and their work looks great from the pics I have seen. Any considerations or helpful
hints before trying a clean up on my own with the magic eraser this weekend? Leatherique on the way for project #2 next week
    Many thanks in advance!

+1 really works great with black. I put a tan seat in my red car and it looked like a malibu barbie toy.

Thanks for the welcome! Those tan seats are in need some TLC! Not bad but showing some dye transfer and desperately in need of some conditioning

While I LOVE my Alcantara steering wheel, it’s a lot of maintenance. Need for cleaning and defuzzing. Also, it absorbs sweat, oils etc from your hands and can start to smell bad after a while. That doesn’t happen with a leather wheel. Practicality wise, leather wins in my opinion. But, I still LOVE alcantara. One of the unique things about our ZHP’s.
