UUC black trans bushings fluid filled..

I couldn’t figure out what the goo was under my car in the garage. Got it up in the air and discovered the it was coming from the transmission bushings! Not only that but the bushings were completely shot.. compressed to half their original size. WTF?
I replaced them and now I have a bad vibration. Probably because I rebuilt the drive shaft and put it back in before I discovered the bad trans bushings. I think the drive train is out of alignment now. Not too happy about this.

Here’s a pic of the goo. The viscosity is like paste and it damn near impossible to get it off the concrete floor

Granted these bushings probably have about 80k on them but the OEM bushings didn’t do this. Replaced with M3 bushings.

That sucks. I thought the UUC was solid rubber just like the M3 units.

I had a set of them back in the day but the vibration from them was too much.

Wow ive heard negative reviews from then so I never pulled the trigger, considering I almost ordered a full set of polys from them at the end of October but decided not too in the end

Hopefully you can get this resolved by them or something, despite years and mileage this completely turned me off to doing them

Man glad I saw this, I was considering some but never pulled the trigger (plus doesn’t everyone have a moral gripe with UUC?)

That stuff looks like uncured JB Weld!

I've got a pair of the UUC black mounts. They're ok, I like them so far but I have so many other driveline issues to take care of that I haven't been driving too hard.

Didn't they update the design recently?

Yeah a good amount of people do.

Customer service is not that great.

I don't think they're supposed to be fluid filled. That might be uncured material.

Vibration was bad from the UUC bushings or M3 bushings?

UUC Black. I removed them and went with E46 M3 rubber.

Probably the best drivetrain upgrade I have done is the E46 Engine and trans mounts. Factory OE like upgrade.
