I didn't expect to notice any difference. The dinan bar is very reasonably priced at around $365 and very worth the difference vs stock.
i think that's great. if you are a performance oriented person then that does make sense. trust me when i say that when i paid out the nose for mine it had nothing to do with performance and everything to do with wanting something rare no my car to complete a theme look and nothing more lol. pretty much the worse kind of buying reasoning. i would love to get another one for my zhp wagon but im happy with one

Lol I agree with you guys and it sounds like we had the same reasoning for buying the bmw performance bar. It looks amazing and is a great bar!

Found a performance CF strut bar on CL

I will say if you’re looking for performance there are other strut bars out there that are better, in that they won’t break in half, but for looks there are no other strut bars that look better than this strut bar (maybe the DINAN offering comes close).

I’m lucky in that I have 2 1/2 BMW Performance carbon fiber strut bars in my garage

As it has been proven numerous times, it is not a great bar. But it sure is the best looking one.

Yes, I'm still salty about having spent $500-600 on a stupid strut bar and having it crack right down the middle. Useless garbage.

Yeah understood which is why i posted my experience with both bars. I really like the Dinan bar, it is a lot less in price and does a much better job stiffening up the chassis. The bar literally does not flex and the weight of the bar is negligible IMO.

As far as looks I personally really like it.

I am not a big Dinan fan for all of their products but do really like this bar.

The cornering with the bar on is like being on rails with zero flex.

They do the job, look good and will not crack in half, win win. They also easily clean up with a scotch brite pad. I used a black painters pen to fill in the DINAN.

But the BMW CF Strut Bar still is the best looking bar out there.

Great idea, Gary. I will try to refurbish mine the same way. Have to figure out how to get the rust off the bolts though...
