That’s awesome thanks. I don’t know if I’ll jump on this GB. I feel like I have a lot of reading to do first.

You're pretty local to me... Want mine? It's sitting in my buddy's garage since I swapped for my 3.46 LSD.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

I don't know if they're still doing it, but the first post in the other LSD thread by MFactory (here) said they charge an additional $450 to install the new LSD in a pumpkin they have in stock, then they add a $500 core charge which is refunded when you send them your old pumpkin. This is the route I'm planning to take... I just hope they're still in the $450 range.

Honestly that’s a good deal. I watched a couple videos and it just seems like a lot of work. Not necessarily difficult, but a solid day’s work. And if you don’t have things like a vise on a workbench you’d have to get creative. Plus they’d presumably double check things like the backlash, etc.

Backlash, preload etc. is really important and easy to mess up. I’ve seen a melted ring and pinion. Looked like it was made of clay...

Totally - And both Sockethead and Reasoned1 said it's a relatively easy job to swap the whole pumpkin...

It is. It’s heavy but pretty straightforward...as long as your driveshaft isn’t friggin’ fused to your diff like mine...
