Higher Aspect ratio or more Comfortable tire for Wheel Style 135

So we have the 135M wheels (tire recommended is 225/40/18 in the front and 255/35/18 in the rear.)

Can I get a more comfortable tires for daily driving (with slightly less performance sacrifice if needed) that absorb broken roads better, without changing my current suspension? Would I get a tire with a higher aspect ratio like 225/50/18 , something like that? Recommendations on what will work with the 135M wheels? Thanks

I run a square set of 245/40R18's, and they're great--fill out the wheel well a bit better and seem to fully correct the speedo.

You do not want to run 50-series tires on 18's. They will be MASSIVE. It's the diameter you have to worry about.

Your best bet is to downsize to 17's. There's not a whole lot you can do with the factory 18's. The small change to 245-40's isn't going to be such a big change. A 225/45-17 setup will be a good bit more comfortable.

I had 225/45-17 on my prior E46. I would have like a more comfortable ride on that also. So it seems like no tire changes will be needed, on my ZHP.
