Cool What did you do for your ZHP/BMW today?

I know it's been done before elsewhere, but I don't think there's a thread on here yet, and I thought it'd be a great addition to the forum... I'll start:

In preparation for taking off my winters and bolting on my 135's, I (very carefully) used my dremel on low-speed with the little wire bristle brush and cleaned up all the tar and old wheel weight adhesive on the interior of the wheels. Came out very nice... when I got close to the wheel, I stopped and used a little plastic chisel and some westley's bleach white and a cleaning pad. Also did a once-over on the car with some Meguiar's wax detailer... Getting closer to summer!

Replaced my alternator and idler pulley yesterday. Tomorrow it's the tensioner pulley and both belts, cooling system, and spark plugs to wrap up my Inspection II.

Yesterday was productive. I swapped out my blown FCABs for some Meyle HDs (used your DIY Keith, thanks!!), put on the newly refinished m135's (pics soon!), and gave her a thorough Spring cleaning.

Nice job, Alex. How do you like the ride with the Meyles?

My OEM CAB's are tired, I get the steering wheel "twich" when I stab the brake pedal... but, oddly enough, when it's really cold out, it doesn't do it... I was planning on replacing with some HD units from Bav. Auto, or considering the Meyle's or Poly units...

Honestly, I couldn't tell you if they made a difference or not. I swapped out the 16" winter setup for the 135s at the same time so the feel of the car changed dramatically. I was on the 16s for so long that I completely forgot what it was like to have tight steering!

Right now the car feels amazing, so I would attribute some of that to the Meyels.

I'll have a new thread up of the cars progress since last year in a few days when I get back from VA. She sure is lookin' purty!

Cleaned it, inside and out. For the wheels, I used Eagle One Wet Spray-On Wax. It did an amazing job of shining them up! It's much better than ArmorAll spray-on, which runs out really fast.
