    Rob’s 2011 X5 35D X drive

Kristen called Me last week and told me someone had just traded in this X5. We could get it for dealer cost plus $500. I went down to look at it and damn! this thing is nice. Got it for $8500. Space gray, black leather interior, sport package, sport activity package, premium package, technology package, comfort access package, heated seats, satellite radio. 9600 miles on the odometer. Staggered wheels with massive 315X35X20 tires..Sold!
The MDX is been a good vehicle but it’s approaching 200,000 miles time to trade up.
Being a diesel I can’t wait to start modding this!

    First mods:

Burger tuning JB-D good for 60hp & 100ft pounds of torque

    Black grills

    On order:

New wheels... we had to give up the stock wheels to the service manager as part of the deal.

    LED halo bulbs

I’m going paint the two center grills black to match the small outer grills.

So far, I love this vehicle!

Thanks! The high torque low rpm takes a little getting used to after driving the other BMWs and even the MDX with VTech

Yaaasssss!! Welcome to the big D club.

That’s you being the big Daddy of course.

There are times when I wonder if I can get into “that” spot when I’m driving the 535d and one quick throttle punch at 2,000RPM and I’m already there and making my way into that spot. What kind of MPG do you get city and highway? And what did it change with the tuning?

I just put the JB tonight. I’ll find out tomorrow. I have a job down in Savannah.

Congrats, Rob. I think the LCI E70 is BMW’s best looking SUV (SAV if we’re being pedantic). And Space Grey is such a beautiful color.
