The wife and I took the trip in her car to meet up with Shawn and his wife. Spent the day in his town and had a blast. After the paperwork was done, we headed home.

Over the next couple of days I gave the car a quick detail and took some pictures.

Then over the course of the summer I drove the car and enjoyed putting more miles on it. Then life happened with the wife and I listing our home for sale, finding a new place, buying and settling in.

So car projects were put on hold and the car sat in the garage. I ended up removing the fog lights since they were busted up and reverted back to chrome grills since one of the black ones got busted.

Ol'Red didn't take well to this news being stored so it decided to develop a coolant leak.

So a cooling system overhaul started the snowball process which is where I am currently with the car.

Ended up removing the radiator and all the cooling parts on the front of the engine. Time and mileage took a major toll on the plastic parts. Then pulled the intake manifold, all the hard coolant pipes, heater hoses, oil filter housing assembly, all the power steering related items and anything else that needs to be replaced.

Then the whole I am in there thought process took over so the car went up on the quickjacks.

I decided to address the oil pan gasket leak and do a full cleaning of the engine and the subframe.

Enjoy the grime and dirt with this next set of images.

While examining the engine bay and with Soo much room for activities, I disconnected the front subframe and removed it out of the car. This allowed me to examine the oil pan gasket leak and see how bad it was.

So the next step in this whole process is to replace anything that is worn, torn and leaking.

The current lists of parts has become extremely long but a part of me just couldn't leave things be. The wife still has not banned me to the couch so I will begin the cleaning process and reassembly so stay tuned for further updates.
