I guess I’m sorta lucky as I haven’t been to the dealer yet for the airbag recall. I called a few months ago about the mobile service they offer for recalls. They only do the drivers side airbag and not the passenger side so you still need to go to the dealer. This is just plain stupid. Now this BS...UGH.

Dealer confirmed this recall using my VIN and they told me they don’t have the parts yet (not surprised to hear this) so I told them I was not in a hurry since my M3 is in hibernation status. The dealer said great and told me I could bring my M3 later in February when they will have the parts to do the recall so I got my M3 scheduled in.

I will take my hibernating M3 out to get the recall service done then put it back into hibernation again until late April. It will be more like a tease, I know...

Tease? That's just cruel. I don't think I could handle that

What happens if the weather is bad on the day they schedule you.... Oh, the humanity......

I have not yet received anything, but I called the closest local dealer, South Bay BMW, and scheduled the service. The weird thing is they said it could take "days, as they are backed up"... so I'm thinking, why schedule it until you can do it? Regardless, at least they knew about it, and it's scheduled. Thanks for the notice!
