    (Closed): BAFX OBD2 Bluetooth scanner

I just bought this off amazon and didn’t read the description that it’s android/PC only.

Plug it in to your car, download the app, use away. Save a few dollars if interested, my idiotic loss.

    $17 shipped.

It might not even read BMWs. Some cheap ones don't read BMWs at all. Depends on which one it is; not sure if this one does.
    What did the description say?

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

1996 is just when OBD2 became a requirement. It also says 'most' cars. I know my inexpensive adapter doesn't work on my BMW, but it did work on a VW I used to have.
My more expensive adapter definitely works on the BMW, but unfortunately was a lot more money ($70).

With that said, I know folks who have inexpensive ones that works just fine on their BMW, so I think it depends on the specific one. Do you still have the link to the product page you used to purchase? I'm curious what they say on the page.

Is it this one by any chance? I have this one and it did not work with my E46. It is possible mine was just partially defective, considering it worked on the GLI.
