I definitely have a pair of these. I stopped using them because they seemed too easy to trip the arm if someone was walking by. I would urge everyone to purchase jack stands that have a "safety pin" double back-up design. That way, if the main tab fails or the arm gets tripped, the metal pin is still there to bear the weight of the jack stand. I first purchase this style from Home Depot made by Husky. Since, I have bought some off Amazon. However, buyer beware to inspect those well, as I had to send a pair back as defective with some pretty shoddy welds and defects in the flat metal that looked like a potential crack. My others I got are very nice, though, with the slide pin double locking mechanism.
