I'm not the best shifter but I know if I lift the clutch at about 2500 or 4800 my shift is smoother than anywhere else but I feel like that shift point is tiny, so little margin for error... If not perfect, it shudders. In the past when my clutch was blown on my E36 I even was able to shift without the clutch, which was very cool BTW.

BMW*have used clutch delay valves on the*E39*and*E46*models, and others, from 1997. These valves have been unpopular with some drivers and they are sometimes removed to leave a conventional clutch action.*The BMW valve is a separate pipe fitting and easily removed.

So bottom line, will removing this slow down the RPM decrease after letting of the gas and give me more margin or....
