Someone on FB already did a PPI for this E46 and posted the results. For those that are interested here it is:

Private group on FB so we most of us probably can’t see. Can you post the highlights? Presumably they didn’t buy...

    As per the FB post:

"FYI to anyone who might be considering this E46 touring

I came across this wagon, and besides the hot boy stuff (halos, M stripes, tint) the owner added, I really wanted it. After texting back and forth with the owner for a few weeks I finally got a few more photos and some of my questions answered. I learned that the work done on the car was 'done with a buddy'. Ok, how bad can it be, right?

The price is certainly on the high side and I assumed that reflected the condition of the car. Ha, nope. After reviewing the photos I noticed the exhaust was not stock. The owner admitted it has a muffler delete. Some trim is also falling off and I found out the owner only has 1 key. Nothing too major, so I proceeded to have a PPI done at a local Denver Euro shop.

Last night I heard back from the tech and that was probably the best $60 I spent. Here's what was found:

    Tamper dot on cluster,

    guibo cracked

    both rear camber arms bent

    rr output seal, rear diff

    PS pump small leak

    Foglights installed no plugged in

    missing underpanels and fender liners

    Rear exhaust mount not mounted

    LF sway bar end link

Front tires toe wear/ need replaced

    Oil filter O ring leaking

License plate light mount not fully mounted

    ABS module fault

    CEL for Secondary air flow

    EBOX fan error

    Tank leak diag code

    Oil level sensor

May need front rotors, vibration under braking

    sunroof not working/ won't close

Nothing too major, but a far cry from the owner's claim that 'everything works as it should'. The work needed isn't difficult, but the time and money spent finding the correct parts makes it not worth it. If you're looking at this car, I already did the PPI for you. Proceed with knowledge."
