What do you use on the faded black part of the door mirrors?

Mine look like poop. I'd rather a permanent solution.

Do you use something like Forever Black, or is better to actually paint that part?

I personally think it’s better to just paint them, that’s the most permanent solution. Using any trim restore just won’t last as long. You can find black trim spray paint at any hardware store.

Use a magic eraser, great results. Do not use on gloss black trim.

I use the McGuire's version of bumper black or black magic. something like thst. Did one sweep a week for four weeks. Then it stayed black . Works great. Freshen it up every six months or so.

Permanent solution would be to replace it with a new ones. Search eBay or google some suppliers for an OE made by Magnetti Marrelli. I have it, it’s like a typical BMW OE frame with a bmw logo removed

Cleaned them up with magic eraser and used a ceramic coating specific for plastic for protection. It worked really well. My trim was nice and black with good water beading.
