Window regulators, BMW's achilles heel. Anyone know who makes the OE part?

I think the original BMW ones say Brose, I think that's the brand that makes the regulators. Not sure who makes the motors though, probably Bosch or VDO if I had to guess.

    My thoughts as well.

Yeah, I suppose. My driver side squeals going up and down so I'll have to look into that side next.

I just went ahead with an OEM one. I figured if it was good enough to last 16 years, thats good enough for me. Price definitely hurts and I put it off until my passenger window would slide down on the highway

If I had a sedan I'd be more tempted to go OEM but the price difference is too big not to try Uro on the coupe. Especially since I may have to buy another one for the driver side soon.

For what it's worth the ro Premium regulators seem to hold up quite nicely. I've installed a lot of them in customer cars (E39, E46, E53) and haven't really had to do any warranties on them yet.

I replaced mine with the OE regulator from FCP euro. It was less than $200 so didnt bother with other versions. My original lasted 14 years, so figure that another OE one will outlast the car/me
