I am one of the final bidder and personally have no problem to bid $15K, but I already have 3 cars in the house that we barely drive, and still want to keep my marriage

I think even at $14K, it is a great deal because there will be very minimum maintenance for the next several years. Only risk is the unknown condition of the donor engine, but I feel the risk is relatively low.
