It shouldn't rust in just a few days.
I had a similar incident with one of those dumbass parking lot islands that have curbing all the way around them. I parked next to one and when I got back in I forgot it was there and turned right into it. It ripped my entire side skirt off, and a tiny bit of the metal underneath was damaged. They charged $400 for a new side skirt, painted, and touched up the metal parts so it doesn't rust.

The price would depend on where they can blend. Although on the rocker they would have to fade into the wheel well. On the door if it has side moldings they would blend up to the molding... I was guessing about $1250 before I saw the quote. Silver is tough to blend. On my old M3 (1999) the hood rusted and they covered it under warranty but needed to paint the tops of both fenders and wouldn't cover it. The paint never matched and I made them do it 3 times.

Well somewhat good news update, found a smaller local shop that quoted me at $1390 including a dent repair on the other side so I think I’ll be going through them. Unfortunately don’t think I’ll be able to find anything sub $1000 but I’ll take what i can get. Will post an update picture for anyone curious next week when the work gets done

Yeah, paint and bodywork are never cheap if you want it done right.

Update for anyone wondering, came out absolutely mint, perfect blending and all. They took care of this side, a quarter sized dent on the other, and a dime sized dent on the top of the rear quarter(that they threw in for free). Psyched overall, owner seemed really happy with himself too!

    Looks great!

How much did it end up running you, if you don't mind my asking?

Great results, looks fantastic! Which shop did you use, maybe someone local needs a body shop, too.

Not at all, totaled just under $1400 for everything. And they really did get the OEM texture perfect

Owned by a down to earth husband and wife, can’t say enough good things about them after this experience!
