Which why do you put your key in the ignition (Remix)?

To put it in the words of part-time great R&B artist and full-time horrible human being, R.Kelly:

    To that end,

Which way do you put your key in the ignition?

It's a very mundane, and ultimately useless existential question, but I stuck my key in the wrong way (see: buttons facing away from me) while in a rush this morning and I had to actively suppress my gag reflex after the incident. I wanted to see if there's any consistency in the family.

Answer the poll at the top (and comment tally below)

EDIT: Okay, for the Tapatalk folk, I'll tally results from the comments below:

    • You can watch (Buttons facing the driver): 5
    • Don't look at me! (Buttons facing away): 2
    • I'm a monster (I have no preference which way the key goes in): 0
    • Y'all need to have more minerals in your diet: 1

I don't see the poll on tapatalk but I am 100% with you on this one (the jams, the key orientation, and the take on R. Kelly as a human).

Damn this is taking me back. Buttons face me. Like to have my thumb on the roundel just before turning- can’t explain why.

How can a guy who wrote happy people turn out like that?

Uh oh... I'm definitely the odd one out here. I always like having the buttons facing up when the key is pushed in, and like feeling the logo with my index finger as I turn the engine over.

I actually can't recall a time I ever drove with the buttons facing me, they always have to face the dash or it just feels off

Almost 5 years here of buttons facing out, never knew people did it the other way... feels more in control to have that smooth backing to push your thumb up against.
What it’s me and one other guy on the whole site? Lol
