235/40/18 on front stock ZHP wheels?

    Time to replace tires.
AND time to get the ZHP (style 135) set back on the car (currently running a staggered set of style 264 with stock tire sizes)

The tire I want is out of stock at TR for size 225/40/18, but they do have 235/40/18 in stock.
Can I get away with 235/40/18 for the fronts on stock style 135 ZHP wheels (I think it's a 8" wheel)? (while keeping the rears stock size; stock suspension)

I hope to get an alignment after getting the new tires, as it has been quite a while since the last one.
Sometime in the not-so-near future I am planning to go for a square set-up, but for now, going with the style 135 staggered - until I can find an extra pair of 8.5" ZHP rear wheels...

I did 245/35 square on 8.5s. I think you can so what you said. There are some good visual wheel size/rim size calculators online.

    Thanks, John!
Yes, the square set up is def in the future, (and is your car lowered with that square setup?)

BUT for now, I am just wanting to make sure 235/40/18 will be OK for the front 8" ZHP wheel. I just want to make sure there will be no rubbing, or any adverse effects on the suspension, etc

Like you, I also think it will be OK, but was looking to see if anyone has done that size on the FRONT ZHP wheels

I think cakM3 uses 235s on stock front 135s. Maybe check with him.

There are no rubbing or any adverse affects from running 235/255 from what I have seen or experienced with my current setup...

That is correct San I have been using 235's on my front 8" Style 135 wheels and have not had any issues running on them. I even drove to Columbus Ohio and back from the Providence RI area and had no issues whatsoever. Keep in mind I'm not tracking my car but street driving it. In this regard there are absolutely no issues running 235/255 setup from what I have seen or felt

Another point I forgot to mention is that having the wider tire up front does not mess with the DSC... at least I haven't had any issues with mine yet...

235/40 square is great. Definitely my preferred size for thrashing around some all seasons.
