I am the second owner; I purchased the car in 2005 with just 10,000 miles on the odo. The car has been garaged since 2010 after we moved to Massachusetts. The car is well taken care of, oil and filter every 7,500 miles, Leatherique for the seats. The car was never raced; I took it to CCA autocrosses maybe 4 or 5 times. Most potential issues are taken care of (for more details please see the maintenance log):
Apr 2021: New fuel pump and fuel filter.
Nov 2019: Valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, DISA valve rebuilt with aluminum flap, new cold-climate CVV and hoses, new oil dipstick o-ring, new spark plugs, and more.
Oct 2018: Power steering overhaul and transmission flush.
Oct 2015: Cooling overhaul with Steward water pump, new thermostat, expansion tank, and drive belts.
Sep 2013: replaced burned ZKW plastic reflector bowls with E90 aluminum bowls, so you never have to address this issue again. New lenses are installed as well.

The car comes with original 135 style wheels with Michelin Super Sport tires and a winter set of Elbrus 17” alloys with Dunlop Winter Sport 3D tires. The brakes have plenty of life left (only 17,000 miles on the new pads) and Zimmerman Z-coated brake disks are new. Brand new battery.

    Upgrades:
    -BMW Performance carbon fiber cross-bar
-3M hood and rear mirrors clear bra
    -M3 engine mounts
    -Powerflex control arm bushings
    -E90 aluminum reflector bowls

    Known issues:
-The car was involved in low-speed parking-lot accidents twice. In Nov 2005 (just a couple of days after I bought it) somebody backed into the rear passenger door and bent sheet metal. In Aug 2016, a similar incident affected the front driver door. For the second repair, I also asked to fix a front bumper since there was a small scratch from somebody’s licence plate screw.
-The rear bumper has a couple of marks from parking in Boston.
-Small indentation on the rear driver quarter panel.
-There are two small rust spots on the rear passenger quarter panel.
-I have to refill the AC once a year, every spring.

Thank you! When they first released the strut bar, it was retailing for something ridiculous like $1300. At some point they dumped it for $300, and I jumped on it. It looks really good in the engine bay (and prevents strut tower mushrooming too ).

Lucky!!! Prices today are not much different to when they were new. You have to be either lucky or a bit of a baller to have one!

Finding a pristine or excellent condition Performance carbon fiber strut bar at a decent price is very difficult at best these days... I paid $600 for my strut bars and count myself lucky compared to what I have been finding them being sold for lately....
